PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jeannie Wallner (LIU, F, Sr., Kings Park, N.Y.)
Wallner had a big weekend for the Sharks, scoring three of her team's four goals. In Friday's 2-0 win against Stonehill, the senior forward tallied both goals for LIU. On Saturday, the Kings Park, N.Y. native added another goal, but this time in a losing effort for a split with the Skyhawks.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sajel Desai (Post, D, Sr., Gardner, Mass.)
Desai had a solid start to the NEWHA slate of games against Saint Michael's as Post left Vermont with a 1-1 weekend series split. Desai blocked three total shots and was on the ice for two of the Eagles' four goals, giving her a plus-two rating across the pair of games while also helping to hold the Purple Knights' offense to just one goal.

GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Jill Hertl (Franklin Pierce, G, Jr., Highland Park, Ill.)
Hertl was a standout in the net this week, delivering back-to-back stellar performances to lead the Ravens to a 2-0 start on the season. In the first game against Assumption on Friday, Hertl allowed just one goal on 44 shots for a .977 save percentage. She followed that up with a 1-0 shutout victory in overtime, stopping all 29 shots faced. Hertl boasts a combined 0.50 GAA. Amongst goalies with 50 or more saves on the season, Hertl leads the nation in save percentage (.986).

In her second college start, DeMarinis registered a 34-save shutout in a 1-0 win over Post on Saturday. She made 16 stops alone in the third period, when she helped the Purple Knights blank the Eagles on three power-play bids.
