LIU's Holm named WHCA Goalie of the Year Semifinalist
EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — Reigning NEWHA Goaltender of the Year Tindra Holm has led the LIU women's hockey team to its second straight conference regular-season title.
And on Wednesday, Holm was individually recognized for her on-ice achievements.
Holm, a junior from Skellefteå, Sweden, was named by the Women's Hockey Commissioners Association as a semifinalist for the 2024 Women's Hockey Goalie of the Year award.
She is one of only 11 goaltenders nationally to advance to the semifinal round, from an original 27-player watch list.
It marks Holm's second straight year achieving that semifinal honor.
Voting was carried out by a national panel of coaches, administrators and media.
Three finalists will be announced during conference championships. The winner will be revealed during the NCAA Frozen Four in Durham, N.H.
The other semifinalists:
Sanni Ahola, St. Cloud State (WCHA)
Logan Angers, Quinnipiac (ECAC Hockey)
Eve Gascon, Minnesota Duluth (WCHA)
Raygan Kirk, Ohio State (WCHA)
Hailey MacLeod, Minnesota Duluth (WCHA)
Hannah Murphy, Colgate (ECAC Hockey)
Kayle Osborne, Colgate (ECAC Hockey)
