PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Abby Latorella (LIU, F, Jr., Macomb, Mich.)
Versus Maine this past weekend, Latorella scored goals on each of her two shots, scoring the first goal of the game on Friday (with an assist to Sharks netminder Tindra Holm) before notching a game-tying tally in the third period of Saturday’s narrow loss.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kelly Solak (Sacred Heart, D, Sr., Groose Pointe Woods, Mich.)
The NEWHA leader in goal scoring, Solak scored twice in her team’s 5-1 victory over Post on Friday. Finding the back of the net twice on the power play, she also added an assist on her team’s fourth goal of the day. To date, she has logged three goals and one assist for four points (3-1=4).

GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Suzette Faucher (Franklin Pierce, G, So., Middleton, Wis.)
In her season debut on Saturday, Faucher piled up 41 saves against 42 shots against Mercyhurst on the road. In two career games for the Ravens, she has allowed no more than one goal in each contest and has racked up 55 saves in just over 118 minutes of play.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Tyra Turner (Saint Anselm, F, Fr., Andover, Minn.)
In her collegiate debut against nationally-ranked Quinnipiac on Friday, Turner handed out three assists in her team’s narrow 4-3 defeat on the road. She was also a plus-three in the contest, firing two shots on the evening.
