PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Carrigan Umpherville (LIU, F, Jr., Cross Lake, Manitoba, Canada)
Tallying three goals and four assists for seven points (3-4=7), Umpherville helped LIU post a 2-2-1 record against stiff non-league competition. She potted a goal and an assist in both games against RIT before logging a goal and two assists (1-2=3) across two road games at Mercyhurst. On the year, Umpherville has logged nine goals with eight assists for 17 points (9-8=17).
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alva Johnsson (LIU, F, Jr., Stockholm, Sweden)
Totaling 11 blocked shots, Johnsson also packed an offensive punch with a combined three assists against RIT in a two-game series at home. Seven of those 11 shot blocks for the team co-captain were against Princeton on Jan. 3 in her team’s narrow 1-0 loss to Princeton. 
 
GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Tindra Holm (LIU, G, Fr., Skelleftea, Sweden)
Starting all five games for LIU, Holm made 144 saves for a .923 save percentage against RIT, Princeton and Mercyhurst since Dec. 31. She made 31 saves against Mercyhurst on Jan. 8 in her team’s 3-2 victory and stopped at least 21 shots in each of those five contests. The national leader in minutes played, Holm ranks second in the NEWHA in goals-against average (1.87) and save percentage (.938).
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Maggie Korneta (LIU, D, Fr., Naperville, Ill.)
Korneta posted two goals for the Sharks since Dec. 31, scoring in her team’s 2-2 tie at home against RIT on Jan. 1 before logging her fifth goal of the season at Mercyhurst on Jan. 7. On the year, Korneta has tallied five goals with three assists for eight points (5-3=8).
