PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Josie Mendeszoon (Stonehill, F, Jr., Methuen, Mass.)
Mendeszoon had a strong weekend distributing the puck during Stonehill's two-game weekend set against Assumption. The junior forward dished out a team-high four assists and finished with a plus-three on-ice rating. Over the last six games, Mendeszoon leads her squad with seven points (0-7-7) and a plus-nine rating. She is tied for third in the NEWHA with 11 assists while leading the conference at plus-12 on the year.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cassandra Johnson (Assumption, F, Fr., Wilton, Calif.)
Johnson was a vital part of Assumption's 2-1 week. On Tuesday against Sacred Heart, she blocked three of her five shots in the game's final moments to secure the 1-0 win over the Pioneers. At Stonehill on Friday, she scored her second goal of the year while blocking a pair of shots and being a plus-one. Johnson capped off the weekend with a four-blocked-shot performance in Assumption's 5-2 win over Stonehill on Saturday. On the year, she leads the team with 43 blocked shots, with the next closest having 28.

GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Jillian Petruno (Sacred Heart, G, So., Wixom, Mich.)
Petruno earned the starting nod for all three contests last week for the Pioneers. She logged two games with over 20 saves, including a 32-save outing on Friday in SHU's 6-2 win over Saint Anselm. Petruno also earned her third 40-plus save performance of the season in SHU's 1-0 overtime loss to the Hawks Saturday, stopping 48 shots, including 22 in the final period to push the game to overtime. Petruno averaged a 1.35 goals-against average through the three-game week and posted a .963 save percentage. She has yet to allow more than two goals in a game since November 25.

Jenna Chaplain (Assumption, F, Fr., Peabody, Mass.)
Chaplain scored one goal and added two assists in Assumption's 2-1 week. On Tuesday, she scored the lone goal in the Greyhounds' 1-0 win over Sacred Heart. Chaplain finished off the week with a pair of assists in Assumption's 5-2 win over Stonehill. She was a plus-three and won 34 of 60 (56.67%) of her faceoffs.
