PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ava Kison (Franklin Pierce, F, Sr., Eau Claire, Wis.)
Taking on No. 14/15 Boston College, Kison scored her team’s only goal in a 4-1 loss to the Eagles. At the time, her first marker of the season tied the game at one heading into the third period. Across 67 games in a Ravens uniform, she has scored 23 goals with 24 assists for 47 points (23-24=47).
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kelly Solak (Sacred Heart, D, Gr., Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.)
In two games against No. 9/10 Clarkson, Solak blocked six shots in total and handed out an assist in Saturday’s tilt with the Golden Knights. She is the reigning NEWHA Defensive Player of the Year after leading the league in plus-minus last year with a plus-23 rating.
GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Tindra Holm (LIU, G, So., Skelleftea, Sweden)
Holm made a career-high 61 saves in the season-opening game against No. 5-ranked Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday. She posted 53 saves the very next day against the Bulldogs, giving her a league-leading total of 114 through just two games.
